Focus your early space on resolving the yellow-and-brown entrance. The more colorful ring behind it is the next problem, not a reason to dispatch all of its colors immediately.
The moment to check
Check whether a departing entrance bus has exposed a new part of the ring. Only then decide which of the interior groups has become useful.
If the queue stalls
If blue, red or purple is waiting while the entrance is still occupied, review that early commitment. Returning to a smaller number of active colors can preserve access.
