What to work toward
Choose a bus for a particular exposed branch. Green, red, blue and purple provide the early opportunities, while other matching patches can still be isolated.
The moment to check
Trace the passenger group associated with the next bus all the way to the active flow. Stop if another segment sits between them.
If the queue stalls
When multiple counters remain active, allow useful boarding to finish. A repeated red or brown vehicle is a poor substitute for the space a departing bus will provide.
