The early red and yellow matches are useful for access as well as passengers. Let their departures reveal another layer before reaching for a central vehicle.
The moment to check
Compare the yard after the first pair has finished. Newly uncovered buses should be judged against the shorter passenger course, not the opening one.
If the queue stalls
A full row is a reason to inspect active matches. Continuing to tap deeper vehicles will not create another bay or make a distant group board sooner.
